Sambado Packing is an agricultural packing operation in Linden, California, where reliable, cost-effective energy is essential to supporting day-to-day operations. To reduce reliance on utility-supplied power, manage long-term energy costs, and advance its sustainability goals, Sambado Packing partnered with Renewable Technologies, Inc. (RTI) to bring a large-scale solar energy solution to its facility.
RTI designed and constructed an 828.18 kW DC (STC rated) photovoltaic system utilizing both rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays. The system was engineered to maximize available space across the property while generating clean, on-site electricity for the office and surrounding operations. Power produced by the system is interconnected with the utility grid through the facility’s existing electrical infrastructure using a line-side tap and a back-fed breaker at the main service panel.
From system design and engineering through construction and interconnection, RTI delivered a high-performance solar installation built to provide long-term energy savings, operational resilience, and a more sustainable future for Sambado Packing.
